After almost 27 years of service to WP Group, colleagues, customers and suppliers were sad to see the retirement of driver Tom Osman.

The latest addition to WP Group’s expanding Fleet was called “The Star of the Show” at the recent Federation of Petroleum Suppliers Show in Harrogate.

WP Group is pleased to announce it will be attending the 2012 Fuel Distribution Forum at the Tivoli Victoria Hotel in the Algarve on 20th/21st June.

WP Group has received apologies from three media organisations who wrongly used WP Group's brand and imagery in reports on the proposed tanker driver strikes. WP Group is in no way connected, none of its drivers will be striking and business will continue as normal.

WP Group would like to reassure their customers that they have no involvement in the proposed strike action and that it is pulling all the stops out to maintain a high level of service.

One down, three to go; Emma North, Marketing Assistant at WP Group, passes the Marketing Essentials module of her PCIM qualification with a grade “B” with credit. The pass rate was just 53.47%, with only 21% getting an A or B grade.

Industrial

ExxonMobil has recently upgraded its Mobil SHC 600 Series, a family of Synthetic industrial circulating gear oils, which has raised the standards of industrial oils.

Ask any businesses operating within the cement industrial sector what is the key challenge they face today and you will get the same answer: they are under increasing pressure to reduce costs and maximise productivity whilst trying to remain price-competitive and reducing their environmental impact.

Agricultural

Farmwatch is an initiative led by members of the Agricultural sector in the Test Valley area. Its members and representatives of the local constabulary meet three times a year to discuss the topics of Security and Welfare in the region.

It would appear that the problem of unwanted visitors continues to be a threat to many farms. The theft of fuel and farm equipment occurring both at night and in the daytime seems to be on the rise.

Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 now has BMW longlife-04 approval for exceptional cleaning power, wear protection and overall performance in BMW engines.

After the fierce competition of the MechanEx show the Mobil simulator lap time’s winners have been awarded their prizes. Over 100 delegates of the MechanEx show participated in the Mobil track challenge.

Commercial

2012 sees the launch of WP Group’s exclusive Mobil Delvac Service Centre initiative for commercial vehicle workshops, following the huige succes of the Mobil Service Centre scheme for the independant garage network.

Karl Morgan Jones, Manager at Loughton Self Drive, has been rewarded a customised Mobil Delvac-branded iPad 2 for racing the fastest lap time on the Mobil Delvac Truck Simulator at this year's Commercial Vehicle Show.

Marine

New super yacht "Adastra" has a range of 4,000 miles; enough to sail from the UK to New York in a single trip without refuelling. The 42m yacht has a maximum speed of 22.5knots.

Condor Ferries announced in February that it was relocating its regular services between the UK, Channel Islands and Western France to Poole, due to essential repairs at Weymouth Port. WP Group transfered 100,000 litres of marine gas from Condor's shore tanks at Weymouth and put 14,000 litres directly into the Condor Rapide at Weymouth.
