As fuel supplier to venues throughout the UK, the Events division of WP Group has a growing representation in the industry. In 2012, WP Events was selected as a lead energy supplier to the London Olympics, where they operated at over 40 locations. Delivering fuel to some of the largest and most prestigious UK events on the agenda for 2013, the company look set for another successful year.
For the third year, WP have been named fuel provider to Goodwood’s 2013 Festival of Speed and Revival events. Described by Goodwood as the ‘largest motoring garden party in the world’, this year’s Festival of Speed will bring together the most iconic vehicles from around the Globe. In its 20th year, this July event will celebrate history’s best moments in motorsport, re-uniting some of the greatest car/driver pairings of all time.
In conjunction with the Festival of Speed, the Moving Motorshow will return to Goodwood for 2013. Fuelled by the Automotive division of WP Group, each manufacturer will conduct in-car demonstrations around specially designed evaluation circuits. As an exclusive event, the Moving Motorshow is a highly regarded opportunity to get the keys to the best new vehicles in the market.
Following on, the September Goodwood Revival will offer visitors a trip back in time at the largest historic motor-meeting of its kind. Staged entirely in the nostalgic eras of the 1940s, 50s and 60s, Goodwood Revival is the perfect opportunity to don your vintage fashion and mingle with some of the decade's greats including Sir Stirling Moss, Richard Attwood, John Surtees and Derek Bell.
During these events, WP Group will be working tirelessly behind the scenes to support the venue with generator re-fuelling programs. WP Group’s Operations Manager, Trevor Salter comments, ‘as a vital life-line to the success of any event, power supply is a commodity often taken for granted. To eliminate disruption, the WP Events team work through the night, checking and re-fuelling the entire venue from camp grounds to catering services, transport facilities and everything in-between.
