Local family run fuels and lubricants company, WP Group (WP), have managed to raise over £300 for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.
WP Group rallied the Dorset community to support the local hospice at this year’s Dorset County Show as part of WP’s ‘Sustainability in Action’ program.
The sustainability program focuses on three core values; people, planet and performance. WP embed their core values in the business by educating their employees, supporting their local communities and develop quantifiable measures to protect the environment.
David Fairchild, Managing Director of WP Group explains, ‘supporting the local community in any way we can is a huge priority to us. Weldmar Hospice is a fantastic cause and does a great deal of good for the local community.’
Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is the only agency providing specialist palliative care in the North, South and West of Dorset. The trust operates as an independent charity and provides all of its services completely free of charge.
Jon Panton Business & E commerce fundraising Manager for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust said ‘our Charity was delighted to receive monies raised by the WP Group, from their endeavours at the recent Dorchester Agricultural Show, this money goes directly towards providing free of charge care for people and their loved ones with life limiting diseases across the majority of Dorset, in their own homes, our Day Care Centres and Joseph Weld Hospice.’
